The Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofeh)

A Growing Hospital in a Challenging New Era: The Master Plan for Israel’s Future Largest Hospital

The Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofeh) is the fourth largest government hospital in Israel. It is affiliated with the Sackler Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University and serves a population of 1,000,000 people in the central and The Shephelah areas. The center offers modern, advanced and leading medicine based on professional and proficient human capital and the world's best medical technology.

As a result of several government decisions, the allocation of resources (another 160 dunams) and the massive demographic growth in the vicinity of the hospital (from 1 million to 1.5 million people), the Medical Center is currently preparing for the challenge of turning into the largest hospital in Israel within ten years.

The Shamir Friends Association - How can you help?

We invite you to join us in the Friends Association and to be part of the philanthropic leadership circle of the Shamir Medical Center.

The Friends Association assists the hospital by enlisting public support and mobilizing donations from Israel and from around the world. Considering the upcoming transformation of the hospital into Israel’s largest hospital, today, more than ever, the growing medical center needs friends that will support the development and expansion of infrastructures and the advancement of the excellent human capital of the hospital.

The Timeless Fund - Donations for life-saving medical equipment

Turning the crucail minutes between life and death into minutes that save lives

Cardiac arrest or sudden death from a heart attack are the leading cause of death in the world. In Israel, about 10,000 people die from cardiac arrest each year, 15-20 times more than in car accidents. In such cases, the only way to save the patient is through CPR, including heart massages and the provision of an electric shock using a defibrillator. According to recent estimations, up to 70% of the patients who passed away due to heart attacks could have been saved if they had been resuscitated within four minutes of the incident itself.

The purchase of defibrillators for the Shamir Medical Center, along with advanced respirators and rapid blood and fluid infuser devices for patients suffering from massive blood loss, is immensely important, as it turns those crucial minutes between life and death into minutes that saves lives!

Contribute to the Timeless Fund, the lifesaving medical equipment fund of the Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofeh), and help us save lives!

Any contribution will be greatly appreciated.
